The committee, co-convened by officials from the Government of India and the Empowered Committee, includes various state commissioners of taxes. Its purpose is to review the Sub-Group-I report on GST business processes and provide recommendations concerning registration and return requirements, including those for the IGST model. The committee is tasked with submitting its findings to the Empowered Committee within two months.
