of <h1>Companies breaching Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 2014 face fines; ongoing violations incur daily penalties. See Section 73(2).</h1> If a company or its officers violate provisions of the Companies (Acceptance of Deposits) Rules, 2014, and no specific punishment is outlined in the Act, they are subject to a fine up to five thousand rupees. For ongoing violations, an additional fine up to five hundred rupees per day is imposed for each day the contravention persists. This applies to companies mentioned in section 73(2) and eligible companies inviting deposits.
