        Short title and commencement: Companies compliance certificate rules take effect upon Official Gazette publication. Rule 1 provides that the Companies (Compliance Certificate) Rules, 2001 may be cited by that name and shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette; the rules are made under the powers conferred by sub section (1) of section 642 read with the proviso to sub section (1) of section 383A of the Companies Act, 1956.
