Dangerous operations in factories: rules may declare processes hazardous, limit pregnant workers, require medical exams and safety measures.

Section 82 authorises the appropriate Government to make rules for factories whose processes expose workers to serious risk, including declaring specific processes dangerous; prohibiting or restricting employment of pregnant women in those processes; mandating periodical medical examinations at the occupier's expense to ascertain fitness for employment; and prescribing welfare amenities, sanitary facilities, protective equipment and clothing and other necessary requirements for dangerous operations.
