Good faith acquisition from possessory parties secures title for transferees who lack notice of prior seller rights.

Section 30 provides that when a seller retains possession of goods or their documents after sale, transfers by that seller or a mercantile agent to a person receiving in good faith and without notice of the prior sale have the same effect as if the transferor were authorised by the owner. Similarly, where a buyer holds possession with the seller's consent, dispositions by that buyer or his mercantile agent to a good faith transferee without notice of the seller's lien or other rights operate as if those rights did not exist.
