Warehouse record-keeping obligations require accurate preservation, offsite digital backups, monthly returns, and advance notice of warehousing-period expiry.

Warehouse licensees must maintain accurate, updated records of receipt, handling, storage, operations, sampling and removal of warehoused goods, supported by relevant import, transport, transfer, export and bond documents. Records must be preserved for at least five years after removal, made available for inspection, and backed up digitally outside the warehouse. Licensees must file monthly activity returns within ten days after month-end and give advance information where the warehousing period is due to expire.
