Adjudication powers: Authority-appointed Adjudicating Officer may inquire, summon witnesses and impose penalties under the Act.

An Authority-appointed Adjudicating Officer of prescribed seniority conducts complaint-initiated inquiries, must provide the entity an opportunity to be heard, and may summon witnesses and documents; if satisfied of noncompliance with the Act, rules, regulations or directions or failure to furnish required information, the Adjudicating Officer may impose a penalty under the Act.
