Warrant of authority procedures require identification, display of warrant, witness panchnama, daytime limits and seizure protocols.

Regulation 18 requires authorised officers executing a warrant of authority to identify themselves, exhibit and provide copies of the warrant, conduct searches and seizures in the presence of witnesses with a prescribed panchnama, deliver seizure memo copies to affected persons, observe daytime entry restrictions for dwellings and certain business premises while permitting searches of conveyances and non-dwelling premises at any time, and execute the warrant within prescribed time limits or seek a written extension from the Chairman.
