.... there was a downward trend on the whole. Therefore, the gross profit adopted by the AAC at 2.5 per cent appear to be on the higher side. In our opinion, it would be reasonable to determine the rate of gross profit at 2 per cent. The ITO is, therefore, directed to allow appropriate relief to the assessee by working out gross profit at the rate of 2 per cent on the estimated turnover of Rs. 23 lakhs. 5. The remaining ground in the assessee's appeal relates to an addition of Rs. 25,000.
