The Writ Petitioner in Writ Petition (L) No.22637 of 2026, viz., Mr. Ajay Sud, represented by Mr. Mohan Jayakar, learned counsel as well as his younger brother, Mr. Goldie Sud-the Petitioner appearing in-person in Writ Petition No.4844 of 2025, are primarily aggrieved by the seizure of gold which was being carried in his person by Mr. Goldie Sud from Dubai to Mumbai, for being re-routed to Bangkok. In that particular trip, Mr. Goldie Sud was carrying gold measuring 3.696 kg, valued at Rs.2.08 crores (approx.).
