Sd/- (RAMESH RAMACHANDRA) COMMISSIONER OF CUSTOMS (G) NEW CUSTOM HOUSE, MUMBAI ANNEXURE - I Procedure of IGM submission through floppy Procedure of floppy submission: - Floppy submission is done through Service Centre. - The Service center operator would accept the floppy and copy the information on system. - The copied information would be transferred to the specific directory of the Message Exchange Server (MES). - A procedure operating on the ICES Server would pick-up the file from the MES and check for the message format. The message format is explained below. The format, if is in acceptable format, the information is copied on the database. - Error message, if any will be generated. The manifest will still be treated as Prior (Type 'V') c) Message type F: The message has to be filed after arrival of the vessel when no prior (Message Type 'V' is not filed earlier) manifest was filed earlier. This message along with Cargo and Container details should come together in single transmission. d) Fields IGM NO and IGM Date are allotted by Customs on receipt of message. e) IGM Number will not be allotted, if the validation check is failed on any of the parameters. f) Amendment to Vessel particulars: Permitted only after allotment of IGM No. Amendment of key parameters is not allowed. If required, request for cancellation of IGM has to be made and after approval, a fresh IGM has to be filed. No Supplementary message is permitted for Vessel details. g) GRT: Gross Registered Tonnage; NRT : Net Registered Tonnage h) Last Port Called Field #s 12, 13, and 14: Field No 12 is mandatory.
