Beef carcasses, cuts and offal of cows, oxen and calves are prohibited for export. Buffalo meat and offal may be exported only with a State veterinary certificate confirming animals were not used for breeding or milch purposes; buffalo gonads, reproductive organs and bovine germplasm require restricted export authorisation. Exports must comply with APEDA registration, quality control and inspection by designated veterinary authorities and recognised laboratories, pre shipment checks for canned products, mandatory carton labelling, and Halal I CAS certification for specified importing countries where required.
