Export classification for edible fruits and nuts maintains free export policy, subject to registration for fresh grape exports.

Chapter 08 of the ITC(HS), 2022 export policy assigns a Free export policy to listed edible fruits, nuts, and citrus or melon peel. Inedible fruits and nuts are excluded; chilled goods are classified as fresh, and specified treatment of dried goods is permitted where their dried character remains. Provisionally preserved fruit and nuts qualify only where preservation is for transport or storage and they are unsuitable for immediate consumption. Fresh grape exports to the European Union require registration with APEDA.
