of <h1>Himalayan Institute Approved for Scientific Research Under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act, 1961</h1> The Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust, Jolly Grant, Dehradun, has been approved by the Central Government under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for engaging in scientific research. Effective from April 1, 2007, this approval requires the organization to utilize funds for scientific research, conduct research through faculty or students, and maintain separate audited accounts for research funds. The organization must also submit a certified statement of donations and research expenditures. The approval may be withdrawn if these conditions are not met or if research activities cease or are deemed non-genuine.
