of <h1>Effective Date for Central Excise Amendments Set to May 11, 2004, Under Finance Act 2002, Section 133.</h1> The Central Government, exercising powers under section 133 of the Finance Act, 2002, appointed the 15th of August, 2003, as the effective date for certain insertions and omissions in the Central Excise (Non Tariff) regulations. This date was later substituted multiple times, with the final effective date set as the 11th of May, 2004, according to Notification No. 09/2004-CE(NT) dated 30th April 2004. The changes were documented by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.
