of <h1>New CENVAT Credit Forms Introduced Under Rule 12 and Rule 7; Effective October 1, 2003; Supersedes Previous Notification</h1> Notification No. 71/2003-CE(N.T.), dated September 15, 2003, issued by the Central Board of Excise and Customs, supersedes Notification No. 48/2001-CE(N.T.) regarding CENVAT Credit forms. Exercising powers under rule 12 of the Central Excise Rules, 2002, and sub-rule (5) of rule 7 of CENVAT Credit Rules, 2002, the notification prescribes new forms for monthly returns related to production, removal of goods, and CENVAT credit. Forms ER-1 and ER-3 are specified for these purposes. The notification takes effect from October 1, 2003.
