of <h1>ICMR Approves CHAD Health Care Study: Christian Medical College to Manage Rs. 78 Lakh Budget for Five Years</h1> The Indian Council of Medical Research has approved a scientific research program titled 'Community Health and Development (CHAD)-A Health Care DELIVERY System ---- Operation Study' for a five-year period from May 1, 1982, to April 30, 1987. The project, sponsored by the Christian Medical College & Hospital, Vellore, has an estimated expenditure of Rs. 78,43,079. The institution must maintain separate accounts for the project, submit annual returns and audited statements to the council and the Income-tax Commissioner. The institution is already approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act since June 11, 1973.
