of <h1>Indian Council of Medical Research Approves Statistics Society for Scientific Research Under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act</h1> The Statistics Society of India, Bombay, has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research as a 'Scientific Research Association' under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for medical research. The approval is valid from February 18, 1982, to February 17, 1984. The Society must maintain a separate account for medical research funds, submit annual returns of its research activities, and provide an audited statement of accounts to the Council and the Income-tax Commissioner by May 31 each year.
