of <h1>Karnataka Regional Engineering College Approved for Scientific Research Under Section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act 1961</h1> The Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal, has been approved by the Secretary, Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, as an institution under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval is for scientific research in natural and applied sciences, excluding agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and medicine. The college must maintain a separate account for research funds, submit annual research activity returns by April 30 each year, and provide annual returns and account statements to the Commissioner of Income-tax. This approval is valid from February 27, 1981, to February 26, 1984.
