<h1>Indian Council of Medical Research Approves Brain Tumor Study under Income-tax Act Section 35(1)(ii.</h1> The Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, has approved a scientific research program under sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The program, conducted by the Medical Research Centre of Bombay Hospital Trust, focuses on early diagnosis of brain tumors using CT scanning and evaluating treatments for malignant gliomas with immunologic methods. Scheduled from February 13, 1981, to February 12, 1986, the project has an estimated cost of Rs. 2,04,68,500. The Trust must maintain separate accounts, submit annual returns and audited statements to the Council and the Income-tax Commissioner. The Trust is approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act.
