of <h1>Indian National Theatre Approved for Tax-Exempt Fundraising Under Income-tax Act Section 35(1)(iii) for Social Science Research.</h1> The Indian National Theatre in Bombay has been approved by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval allows the institution to collect funds exempt from taxation, provided they are used exclusively for promoting research in social science. The Theatre must maintain separate accounts for these funds and submit an annual report and statement of accounts to both the Indian Council of Social Science Research and the relevant Commissioner of Income-tax. This notification is valid from April 1, 1980, to March 31, 1983.
