of <h1>Indian Economic Association in Pilani approved under Section 35(1)(iii) for tax-exempt funding for social science research.</h1> The Indian Economic Association in Pilani, Rajasthan, has been approved under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, by the Indian Council of Social Science Research. This approval, effective from April 1, 1980, to March 31, 1983, allows the association to collect funds exempt from tax, provided they are used exclusively for social science research. The association must maintain separate accounts for these funds and submit an annual report and audited statement to the council detailing fund collection and utilization.
