of <h1>Sangeet Research Academy Approved for Tax Benefits Under Section 35(1)(ii) for Scientific Research Until April 1982.</h1> The Sangeet Research Academy in Calcutta has been approved by the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval applies to the category of 'Association' in natural or applied sciences, excluding agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and medicines. The Academy is required to maintain separate accounts for funds received for scientific research, submit annual returns of its activities, and provide a statement of accounts to the Commissioner of Income-tax, Calcutta. This notification is valid from April 11, 1980, to April 10, 1982.
