This approval, effective from December 1, 1980, to November 30, 1981, requires the Centre to maintain separate accounts for research funds and submit an annual return of its scientific activities by April 30 each year. The approval was granted by the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, under the category 'Association' as per the Income-tax Rules, 1962.
