of <h1>C. C. Shroff Institute Approved for Scientific Research Funding under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act 1961</h1> The C. C. Shroff Institute in New Delhi has been approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for scientific research in natural or applied sciences, excluding agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and medicine. This approval, effective from October 13, 1979, to October 12, 1980, requires the institute to maintain separate accounts for funds received for scientific research and to submit annual returns of its research activities to the prescribed authority by April 30 each year. This notification follows a previous one dated March 26, 1977, and is issued by the Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi.
