of <h1>Amendment Expands Chief Commissioner of Central Excise Jurisdiction to Include Dibrugarh, Shillong, and Several Northeastern States.</h1> Notification No. 14/2002-CE(NT) dated 8th March 2002, concerning the jurisdiction of the Chief Commissioner of Central Excise in Shillong, has been amended. The jurisdiction now includes Dibrugarh and Shillong. Additionally, Notification No. 41/2002-CE(NT) dated 20th December 2002 modifies the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Central Excise in Shillong to cover the states of Tripura, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, and Meghalaya, as well as several districts in Assam, including Dhubri, Bongaigaon, and others. These changes are enacted under the Central Excise Rules, 2002.
