of <h1>Research on Petrochemical Sludge Degradation Approved under Section 35(2A) of Income-tax Act, Sponsored by Indian Petrochemicals Ltd.</h1> A scientific research program titled 'Microbial Degradation of Petro-chemical Sludges by Pseudomonas aeruginosa' has been approved under sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The program is sponsored by Indian Petrochemicals Ltd. and will be conducted by Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda. The research is scheduled to commence in December 1979 and conclude in December 1980, with an estimated budget of Rs. 43,400. Maharaja Sayajirao University is already approved under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, as per a previous notification from September 1975.
