of <h1>Indian Council Approves Tax-Exempt Status for Bombay Social Work College Under Section 35(1)(iii) for Research Funds</h1> The College of Social Work in Bombay has been approved by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under section 35(1)(iii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval allows the institution to collect funds exempt from tax, provided they are used exclusively for promoting research in social sciences. The college must maintain separate accounts for these funds and submit an annual report to the Council detailing fund collection and utilization. This approval is valid for three years from the notification date, December 22, 1978.
