of <h1>Army Officers' Wives Association gains tax exemption under section 10(23C)(iv) of Income-tax Act from 1973-74 onwards.</h1> The Central Government has issued a notification under section 10(23C)(iv) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, recognizing the Army Officers' Wives Association, headquartered in Maharashtra & Gujarat Area, Bombay, for tax exemption purposes. This notification, dated March 21, 1978 (S.O.1995), applies to the association from the assessment year 1973-74 onwards.
