<h1>ICMR Approves Research on Parasitic Disease Eradication and Anti-Tumor Studies Under Section 35(2A) of Income-tax Act</h1> The Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, has approved a scientific research program under sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The program includes two projects: developing a new method for eradicating parasitic diseases in mammals and producing sytochalasins from new fungal sources to study their biological effects, particularly anti-tumor properties. These projects will be conducted by the Indian Drug Association in Poona, with an estimated cost of Rs. 6,44,000 and Rs. 6,42,200, respectively. The program is set to commence when funds are available and is scheduled for completion between 1977 and 1982.
