<h1>Indian Council of Medical Research Approves Leprosy Detection Program Under Section 35 of Income-tax Act</h1> A scientific research program titled 'Early Detection of Leprosy and its Chemotherapy (including Drug Resistance)' has been approved by the Indian Council of Medical Research, New Delhi, under sub-section (2A) of section 35 of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The program, to be conducted by the Foundation for Medical Research in Bombay, is scheduled to commence on August 19, 1977, and conclude on August 18, 1982, with an estimated expenditure of 84 lakhs. The Foundation has been previously approved under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, as per a notification from the Ministry of Finance dated January 15, 1976.
