of <h1>D.P. Dhar Memorial Foundation Approved for Fellowships in Social Sciences under Section 35(1)(ii) of Income-tax Act</h1> The D.P. Dhar Memorial Foundation in New Delhi has been approved by the Indian Council of Social Science Research under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. The approval allows the foundation to capitalize collected funds to establish fellowships at the Readers level in social sciences at selected Indian universities. These fellowships will be managed by a committee of eminent social scientists in consultation with the council. The foundation is required to submit an annual report on the scheme's operations, maintain separate accounts for the exempted funds, and may transfer funds to universities with council approval. This notification is effective for three years from April 1, 1977.
