The project, sponsored by a textile industry company in Ahmedabad, commenced in October 1976 and is expected to complete by March 1979, with an estimated expenditure of Rs. 35,000. The Ahmedabad Textile Industry's Research Association, where the project is sponsored, is approved under section 10(2)(xiii) of the Indian Income-tax Act, 1922. This approval was formally notified by the Secretary, Department of Science & Technology, New Delhi.
