Scientific & Medical Research Society in Bombay has been granted approval by the Indian Council of Medical Research under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961. This approval allows the institution to receive tax exemptions for research activities, effective for two years from March 26, 1977. The Society must submit annual reports on its research activities and provide annual returns detailing donations received and expenditures solely for research purposes as required by the Council.
