Institute of Technology and Science, Indore, has been approved by the Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi, under section 35(1)(ii) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, for activities in natural and applied sciences. This approval is subject to conditions that the institute maintains a separate account for funds received for scientific research and submits an annual return of its research activities to the prescribed authority. The notification is effective for three years from December 18, 1976.
