of <h1>Shri Krishna Janam Bhoomi, Mathura, Gains Historic Site Status; Eligible for Tax Benefits Under Income-tax Act, 1961.</h1> The Central Government, under the powers granted by section 80G(2)(b) of the Income-tax Act, 1961, has officially recognized Shri Krishna Janam Bhoomi in Mathura as a site of historic importance and a renowned place of public worship throughout Uttar Pradesh. This notification, dated July 6, 1974, allows for certain tax benefits under section 80G. The name was updated from 'Shri Krishna Janam Bhoomi Trust, Mathura' to 'Shri Krishna Janam Bhoomi, Mathura' as per a subsequent notification dated August 14, 1975.
