Government Approves Biotechnology Special Economic Zone by Ajanta Projects in Compliance with SEZ Act 2005 Requirements

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has approved the establishment of a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for the biotechnology sector at Plot No. C-22, MIDC, Shendre Five Star Industrial Area, Aurangabad, Maharashtra. M/s. Ajanta Projects (India) Limited proposed this SEZ under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government, satisfied with the compliance of necessary requirements, granted approval on July 26, 2007. The notified area covers 10.00 hectares, comprising specific survey numbers. This notification is issued under the authority of the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005 and related rules.
