Central Govt Sets August 4, 2008, as Start Date for SEZ in Precision Engineering Products, Recognized Under Customs Act

The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has designated August 4, 2008, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Precision Engineering Products at Hattargi and Mastiholi Villages, Hukkeri Taluk, Belgaum District, Karnataka. This SEZ, to be developed by a private company, will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
