of <h1>Central Govt Sets August 4, 2008, as Start Date for SEZ in Precision Engineering Products, Recognized Under Customs Act</h1> The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has designated August 4, 2008, as the effective date for establishing a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Precision Engineering Products at Hattargi and Mastiholi Villages, Hukkeri Taluk, Belgaum District, Karnataka. This SEZ, to be developed by a private company, will be recognized as an Inland Container Depot under the Customs Act, 1962.
