of <h1>Approval Committee Formed for Precision Engineering SEZ in Karnataka Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an approval committee for a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for precision engineering products at Hattargi and Masliholi Villages, Hukkeri Taluk, Belgaum District, Karnataka. This committee, created under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, includes various ex-officio members: the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and commissioners from Customs, Income Tax, and Finance. Additionally, representatives from the Karnataka and Maharashtra governments and the developer, M/s. Quest SEZ Development Private Limited, are included.
