of <h1>Government Sets Up Approval Committee for Engineering Sector in SEZ Under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the engineering sector, including auto ancillaries, within the Special Economic Zone at Seekinakuppam Village, Cheyyar Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and consists of various ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner of the SEZ as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and others. The committee also includes a special invitee from the developer, M/s New Chennai Township Private Limited. In the absence of the Development Commissioner, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent them.
