<h1>Approval Committee Formed for Electronics SEZ at SIPCOT Under SEZ Act 2005 with Key Government Officials</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the electronics hardware and related support services Special Economic Zone at SIPCOT, Tamil Nadu, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. This committee, developed by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu, includes the Development Commissioner of the Special Economic Zone as Chairperson and various ex-officio members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Ministry of Finance, Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau, and the Secretary of Industry, Government of Tamil Nadu. A representative from the developer will serve as a special invitee.
