of <h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for Multi-Services SEZ under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the multi-services Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Seekinakuppam, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and includes a Chairperson, the Development Commissioner of the SEZ, and various ex-officio members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, the Ministry of Finance, and the Tamil Nadu Government. A representative from the developer, M/s New Chennai Township Private Limited, is a special invitee. In the Development Commissioner's absence, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent.
