<h1>Approval Committee Formed for IT/ITeS Special Economic Zone under SEZ Act 2005 with Key Government Officials</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the IT/IT-enabled services Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Kalwa Trans Thane Creek Industrial Area, MIDC, District Thane, Maharashtra. This committee, formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, includes various ex-officio members such as the Development Commissioner of the SEZ, officials from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, and representatives from Customs, Income Tax, and the Government of Maharashtra. A representative from the developer, M/s Serene Properties Pvt. Ltd., is also included as a special invitee.
