of <h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for Biotechnology SEZ in Andhra Pradesh under SEZ Act, 2005.</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for the biotechnology Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Karkapatla Village, Mulugu Mandal, Medak District, Andhra Pradesh, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The committee is chaired by the Development Commissioner of the SEZ and includes members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Ministry of Finance, and two officers nominated by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. A representative from the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited, the developer, is a special invitee. In the Development Commissioner's absence, a Joint Development Commissioner will represent him.
