<h1>India Updates Customs Tariff Values: Brass Scrap at $4422/MT, Poppy Seeds at $5034/MT, Others Unchanged</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 99/2008-CUSTOMS (N.T.) amending Notification No. 36/2001-Cus (N.T.) concerning tariff values for certain goods. The amendment, effective from August 1, 2008, maintains existing tariff values for Crude Palm Oil, RBD Palm Oil, Other Palm Oil, Crude Palmolein, RBD Palmolein, Other Palmolein, and Crude Soyabean Oil. However, it updates the tariff value for Brass Scrap to 4422 USD per metric tonne and sets the tariff for Poppy Seeds at 5034 USD per metric tonne.
