of <h1>WIPRO Limited Receives Formal Approval for IT & ITES Special Economic Zone in Greater Noida Under SEZ Act, 2005</h1> WIPRO Limited proposed to establish a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services at Knowledge Park-IV, Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government initially granted in-principle approval on September 23, 2005. Upon satisfying the requirements under the Act, formal approval was granted on June 9, 2006, for the development, operation, and maintenance of the SEZ. Consequently, the Central Government officially notified the land measuring 20.23 hectares at plot Nos. 2, 3, and 4 as a Special Economic Zone.
