NIIT Technologies Limited has proposed to establish a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Plot No. TZ-2 & 2A, Sector-Tech Zone, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government, having verified compliance with the necessary requirements, granted approval on August 24, 2006, for the development, operation, and maintenance of this SEZ. Consequently, the government officially notifies the designation of 10.20 hectares of land at the specified location as a Special Economic Zone.
