Topnotch Infrastructure Limited, a private organization in Andhra Pradesh, proposed to establish a sector-specific Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Information Technology and IT Enabled Services at IDA, Uppal Industrial Development Area, Hyderabad, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. The Central Government, having verified compliance with the Act's requirements, granted approval on October 31, 2006, for the development, operation, and maintenance of this SEZ. Consequently, the government officially notifies the area at Plot No. 6, IDA, Uppal, Hyderabad, comprising Survey number 1 and covering 14.50 hectares, as a Special Economic Zone.
