<h1>Central Government Forms Approval Committee for SEZ in Sriperumbudur under Special Economic Zones Act, 2005</h1> The Central Government has established an Approval Committee for a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at the SIPCOT Industrial Area in Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, developed by the State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu. This committee is formed under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, and includes a Development Commissioner as Chairperson and various ex-officio members from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Foreign Trade, Customs, Income Tax, Finance, and Tamil Nadu's Industrial Development Authority. A representative from the developer is a special invitee. The committee will oversee electronics, telecom hardware, support services, trading, and logistics activities within the SEZ.
