of <h1>Government Sets Up Approval Committee for IT SEZ in Coimbatore Under SEZ Act 2005</h1> The Central Government, under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005, has established an Approval Committee for the IT/IT-enabled services Special Economic Zone in Vilankurichi, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. This SEZ is developed by a corporation from Tamil Nadu. The committee comprises various ex-officio members, including the Development Commissioner as Chairperson, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Zonal Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, the Commissioner of Customs or Central Excise, the Commissioner of Income-tax, and officials from the Ministry of Finance and the Government of Tamil Nadu. A representative from the developing corporation is a special invitee.
